Beauty by Day, Ambiance by Night

This client wanted the front lawn removed as it did not drain well or get enough light. It was not a usable space nor an inviting outlook from the front sitting room.There was little plant material in the space and the yard was exposed to the street.

The lawn was replaced with a curved river rock bed and planting beds full of perennials with a variety of texture and colour. To create privacy and intimacy, a cedar hedge with contrast under planting was put in along the front and a custom gate was installed. To create further interest and ambiance for an inviting outlook at night landscape lighting was used to illuminate certain features in the garden.
